University Drive from Joyce to Lincoln eastbound is expected to remain closed to traffic until Wednesday, Aug. 8. Although Suez Water made great progress on the road repairs Monday, they still need to lay asphalt, and then paint and stripe the road.

Please be patient while University Drive is closed to traffic and continue to use the Joyce Street detour to reach the east side of campus.

A water line on Sunday evening, causing immediate flooding of nearby roadways and parking lots. Following the flooding, a sinkhole formed, causing damage to the roadway.

Travelers to campus are asked to follow all detour signs and travel around the campus perimeter, rather than through campus, when possible, via Boise Avenue, Beacon Street, Broadway Avenue and Cesar Chavez Lane.

The flooding also affected roadways on Theatre Lane and the East Side Administration plaza lot. No parking will be allowed in the Liberal Arts or East Administration lots (East of the B Plaza lot). All Liberal Arts lot patrons are asked to cross park in any other open campus lot (other than the plaza lots and meters) until further notice. The Lincoln Parking Garage is open and accessible via Beacon Street, entering Lincoln Avenue south of University Drive.

There may be some restroom and food service closures in the Student Union Building on Monday, Aug. 6, due to the water line break
