Probe of Suspected Drug House in Boise Nets Two Arrests

Two men are behind bars, facing multiple felony drug charges, following a lengthy investigation by Boise Police into what they said was a Vista neighborhood drug house.

The BPD Special Operations and Neighborhood Contact units were assisted by the Metro Violent Crimes Task Force in serving a search warrant on a house on the 1800 block of S. Vista Avenue on Friday. Police said a search of the house revealed amounts of suspected meth and heroin. a large amount of cash and a firearm. In addition to the arrest of a resident of the house, police said they also arrested a second man who had recently left the residence. The second suspect was charged with possession of suspected meth and a firearm.

43-year-old Ivan Garcia of Boise is charged with felony counts of drug trafficking, manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

37-year-old Rocky Vitale of Garden City was charged with felony counts of drug possession, grand theft, burglary, failure to appear and unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
