The College of Arts and Sciences (COAS) invites the campus community to celebrate the retirement of Evelyn Redshaw, senior business manager, from 2-4 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 14, in the Lookout Room of the Student Union Building. Interim Dean Leslie Durham will speak at 2:30 p.m.

Redshaw has worked at Boise State for 15 years in her role as senior business manager, serving under four COAS deans and shepherding the growth of the college to its current structure of 16 departments and more than 600 faculty and staff members.

Redshaw received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boise State University in 1997, and passed the certified public accountant exam in 1998. She started her career at Boise Cascade before moving to Boise State.

“What impresses me most about Evelyn, in addition to her technical expertise, is her dedication,” said Interim Provost and former COAS Dean Tony Roark. “She puts in long, effortful hours, is always willing to step in and help whenever asked, and has provided invaluable training for so many staff members in COAS. Although her retirement is most well deserved, her absence will be felt in many ways, and I will sincerely miss interacting with her.”

“Evelyn’s knowledge and guidance have been crucial to the success of the College of Arts and Sciences. Her precision, ethics, and insights have helped us steer a strong, steady course. She will be missed by faculty and staff across the college, but I feel certain that everyone who knows her wishes her a very happy retirement,” said Durham.
